The producer also revealed the new Charles-and-Erik-less world is "both liberating and makes me nervous — it's mostly liberating" and while she concedes that Charles and Erik are "always essential" to actress Sophie Turner in the new X-Men trilogy, and – with the new film allegedly shooting in the summer – it will be interesting to see how the Phoenix will pan out if that is the case.
The title of the next X-Men flick is yet to be revealed but we do know that director Bryan Singer has officially left the series for the second time, which means producer Simon Kinberg has now taken up the task of steering the new batch of films.
Kinberg is writing the next movie, and it's largely rumoured that he will be directing as well.
