ASOP aims to produce remarkable songs of praise for God. By years of sustenance, the program produced many songs of praises that could be used to praise God.
The Members Church of God International’s (MCGI) official Bible-based religious program Ang Dating Daan (ADD) commemorates its 35th year on Philippine airwaves with an official attempt to break world record with the largest gospel choir.
It was expanded first in 1999 then in 2004, the oval arena was built, adding more parking spaces and more area for the church members.
All 1,700 invited persons with disabilities were given monetary gift and grocery bags filled with aides. With 8,688 choristers, ADD seized the world record for the largest gospel choir from the 4,745 participants of the previous record-holder.

The competition was comprised of thirteen finalists who were from different parts of the world gathered together to promote the singing of songs of praises to God. The last one interpreted by Sorianosos was awarded as the song of the year while the one interpreted by Campos was hailed as second placer. Although, not all got a place in the rankings, none of them went home without a prize. Eli Soriano told the organizers to give them “recognition prizes”; this is to encourage the composers to create better songs.
Also, the songs presented in this competition are newly composed by various composers around the world, both amateur and professionals.
Ang Dating Daan is known for its charity works in the Philippines and abroad. Daniel Razon of Members Church of God International (MCGI) called on the recipients of the donations for the the 12 Organisations of Persons with Disabilities. The 12 Organisations of Persons with Disabilities are as follows: Cerebral Palsied Association of the Philippines, Inc., Adaptive Technology for Rehabilitation, Integration and Empowerment of the Visually Impared (ATRIEV), Samahan ng mga Magulang na Iniingitan ang Lahat ng Batang Espesyal (SMILE) Inc., Marikina Persons with Disabilities Inc., Gabay ng mga may Kapansanan sa Malabon City Inc., Caloocan Persons with Disability Zone Association Inc., Federation of Persons with Disabilities in Bagong Silang District I Inc., PWD Leaders Alliance-Manila (PLAM), Asosasyon ng May Kapansanan sa Pateros, Paranaque Association of Persons with Disabilities, AFP-PWD (Association of Focal Person for Persons with Disability), and Quezon City Persons with Disability Affair Office (QCPDAO). The Ang Dating Daan Chorale performed four song numbers on its official attempt to break the world record.
